Love Story in Harvard is a romantic drama Korean series by SBS. The story showed the drama, struggles, relationships and dreams shared by foreign students studying in a competitive little world, Harvard University.

Kim Hyun Woo, played by Kim Rae Won is a freshman law student and competes with American raised Korean classmate, Hong Jung Min, played by Lee Jung Jin. As they become the class rival they also battle for the affection of a medical student Lee Soo In played by Kim Tae Hee.

They struggle in the love triangle while they all chase their dreams in a foreign land.

My take on the K-drama Love Story in Harvard

This K-drama made me reminisce about my college life, the happy and sad times. Enjoying good times with friends, cramming for exams, exploring endless possibilities, winning, failing and terror professor like Prof Keynes.

It has a nice plot but a big hindrance for me to understand the story is when the lead characters speak in english especially Jung Min who was supposed to be raised in the US. Well a better delivery could have increased the credibility of drama where Hyun Woo and Jung Min plays the brightest students at Harvard Law School.

Thumbs up for Kim Rae Won's portrayal of his role, he can be cheerful, angry, immature and a budding lawyer at once. I share in his tears and happy moments in the series. No over the top acting and he gets the job done, very well.

Kim Tae Hee;s character Lee Soo is very promising in the start of the drama. She was bubbly and independent but then she had to play weak when her character was diagnosed with leukemia. Its just a so so performance considering how many times have I seen a sick lead girl in a K-drama, there couldn't be too many variations of an attack for that role right?

Lee Chong Jin, plays a perfect cold and arrogant Hong Jung Min and can still be warm for Soo In.

The storyline on how Hyun Woo and Soo In fell in love with each other is well developed on the otherhand Jung Min's story fell short. This K-drama is not like other series where you'll have a hard time choosing the best for the lead girl even though you already know who she should end up with. Jung Min's love story with Soo In wasn't given a good plot or focus.

I have to say that I enjoy watching Love Story in Harvard because Kim Tae Hee and Kim Rae Won have a very good chemistry and they look good together. The drama have few hits and miss, its one of the must watch K-dramas.

These days Kim Tae Hee is busy as Korea's CF queen and Kim Rae Woon is busy on movies like Miracle and HanaKage / Flower Shadow
